Several Columbia area Paratrooper Veterans visited the Airborne Training School at Fort Benning, GA Thursday. These Veterans served during one or more of the periods of WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. SC Aeronautics Commissioner, Barry Avent of Bennettsville flew the group to Lawson Army Airfield, Ft. Benning, for the visit in his fully restored C-47 transport plane.
