THE CITY OF COLUMBIA’S ANIMAL SHELTER is raising money to help with medical expenses of two dogs injured in a Sept. 18 auto accident. The owners of Junior and Leo were also injured and have returned home to Washington state, but don’t have the funds for all of the medical expenses and transport home. PALMETTO HEALTH CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL is in need of stuffed animals for its pediatric patients. The animals will be given to patients and later taken home with the children.
