Men accused of breaking into West Columbia cars

Published: October 11, 2012

Two men accused of breaking into five cars in West Columbia Friday have been arrested.

Samuel Xavier Guinyard, 22, and Robert Lee Jeridore, 20, are charged with five counts each of breaking into a motor vehicle. The two West Columbia men are being held at Lexington County Detention Center.

The two are accused of trying to break into five cars at the Flinchum Place motor home park about 3:30 a.m. Friday, deputies said. A deputy patrolling the area caught two men trying to get into cars, and arrested Jeridore as he ran away.

Guinyard was arrested later that day when deputies stopped a car in which he was riding and saw several pairs of sunglasses, a cell phone charger and MP3 player in the vehicle. Guinyard also had several CDs and a lot of coins on him, Deputies say.

If something was stolen from your car and you live in Flinchum Place, deputies are asking that you contact the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department at (803) 785-8230 so the items can be returned.
