I follow the political process and watch the debates closely. I admire the moderators chosen to question the candidates. But nowhere was the electorate involved in this process. What a shame.
For months prior to these debates, we could have been sending in questions, to be vetted of course by the Commission on Presidential Debates, so that they could be addressed during the televised event.
Today, millions of people are involved in the communication process via Twitter, Facebook and more. Unfortunately, the debate organizers seem to be stuck in the 20th century.
The way to get citizens involved and engaged is to create opportunities for interaction and communication.
I guess we’ll have to wait four more years.
