Gov. Mitt Romney’s campaign would be well-served to promote stories like that of Romana Banuelos, the 34th treasurer of the United States.
Her story captures the American dream and reminds us of the wonderful work ethic and family values of most Americans, particularly our Hispanic friends.
Now is the time for someone to remind us about the greatness of our country and the greatness of our people.
From where I sit, he and his opponent lack that courage to do just that. Romana knew that her future, like America’s, belonged to those “who believe in the beauty of their dreams,” not in the fear of failure and despair.
