Kimrey earns 100th win

Lexington dominates Aiken

At Edens Stadium, Hammond coach Erik Kimrey notched his 100th career victory, while quarterback Nick Garrett passed for 226 yards and added two rushing touchdowns in his first career start in a 52-23 win over Pinewood Pep.

Receiver Doak Fisher made two receptions for 104 yards and one rush for 83 yards and a touchdown, while senior Quayshon Myers rushed 14 times for 140 yards.

Hammond (9-1) visits Heathwood Hall next.

At Aiken, Will Hunter passed for 158 yards with seven completions and three touchdowns. Altyre Walker was the leading receiver with 81 yards on two catches. Grayson Chumley led the scoring with four rushing touchdowns and ran for 85 yards.

Aiken (2-7, 0-3) kept pace on offense, with Markese East and Gabe Green combining for 263 yards and four touchdowns.

Lexington improves to 3-6, 1-2.

Ethan Holland led the Cavaliers’ scoring with two rushing touchdowns, including a 61-yard rush. Robert E. Lee is 0-8, 0-4. Florence Christian is 5-3, 3-1.

WESTWOOD 27, CAMDEN 7

At Camden, the Westwood Redhawks notched the program’s first win and are 1-8.

WILSON HALL 42, BEN LIPPEN 21

At Sumter, Robert Barrow was 15-of-29 for 169 yards but could not lift the Falcons.

William Kinney led Wilson Hall with 10-of-12 passing for 140 yards and three touchdowns.

Ben Lippen’s Tyler Renew rushed for 190 yards and two touchdowns on 25 attempts, and Alec DeBoer made six catches for 101 yards, while Barons’ back Jay Goodson tallied 18 carries for 81 yards.

Ben Lippen (2-7) hosts Cardinal Newman next week. Wilson Hall improves to 6-3.

Orangeburg Prep got big performances from quarterback Marion McCurry, who completed 11 passes for 257 yards, and receiver Derek Andrews, who made four catches for 142 yards.

The Cardinals travel to Ben Lippen next. Orangeburg Prep (7-3, 6-2) hosts Augusta Christian.
