Two men suspected of stealing an ATM before leading deputies on a chase early Monday have been arrested.
Jamale Pratt, 26, and Marvin Henderson, 38, are both charged with possession of a stolen ATM, grand larceny and failure to stop for blue lights. They are both being held at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
A tipster reported suspicious activity at Off the Rails at 10925 Two Notch Road shortly before 5 a.m., deputies said. The tipster also provided a description of a utility van outside the business, which deputies spotted and tried to stop while on their way to Off the Rails.
The van sped away and entered I-20 when deputies tried to make a stop. The chase continued onto I-77 before eventually ending on Bluff Road, when two men exited the van and tried to run away. Deputies quickly apprehended Pratt and Henderson after the van stopped.
An ATM was found inside the van, deputies said. The ATM was stolen from Off the Rails shortly before the chase, and the van had been reported stolen from 31-W Insulation Monday night.
