Brookland-Cayce High football and soccer teams will play in a new stadium starting in fall 2014.
The $8 million stadium project is going ahead after a six-year delay forced by tight finances.
Lexington 2 school officials are dropping plans for an office building included in the project, saying it is no longer needed.
The stadium will face Knox Abbott Drive. It will be paid for from savings earmarked for new buildings and renovations, assistant superintendent Jim Hinton said
