LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC — Springdale police are investigating the robbery of the Cambridge Plaza.
Around 9:30 p.m. Monday, a man entered the lobby of the hotel at 650 Cherokee Lane, near Columbia Metropolitan Airport, showing a pistol and demanding money from the front desk cash register, according to police reports. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect was wearing a red jacket with a hood, a white stocking cap with eye holes cut out over his face and blue jeans, police said. Witnesses reported the suspect may have been traveling in a light-colored vehicle and that he may have a slight limp.
