Columbia City Council: 9 a.m. Tuesday, the Economic and Community Development Committee takes up plans to change the city’s commercial loan program. At 2 p.m., the Environment and Infrastructure Committee takes up recommendations for preserving trees in the proposed Bull Street neighborhood. Both meetings are being held in the conference room of the city garage on Washington Street, across from the Columbia Police Department.

Batesburg-Leesville: Community planning session for growth, 7 tonight at Midlands Technical College campus, 423 College St.

Lexington Board of Zoning Appeals: 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Town Hall, 111 Maiden Lane
