Benjamin endorses Moryah Jackson for Richland 1 seat
Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin announced his support at a news conference Tuesday for Moryah Jackson for Richland 1 school board.
Jackson, a political newcomer who works as an apprenticeship consultant with Apprenticeship Carolina, is running for an at-large seat. Other candidates for the two at-large seats on the Nov. 6 ballot are Antjuan Seawright, and incumbents Vince Ford and Barbara Scott. The top two vote-getters will be elected.
