COLUMBIA, SC — A day care in the Greenview community that received a call from a man threatening to harm himself and children at the center was evacuated Thursday morning, Columbia police said.
The man made references to an explosive device when he called the Cooper’s Child Development Center at 34 Samson Circle, department spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons said. He also is accused of threatening to harm one of the center’s worker, her car and the children inside the day care.
No children were injured, police said, and officers are trying to track down the caller.
