COLUMBIA, SC Arrest warrants have been obtained for a man suspected of robbing three Columbia businesses over the course of five days starting Oct. 25,Columbia Police said.
Antoinio Dequan Salder is wanted on charges of armed robbery, unlawful carrying of a pistol and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. He is accused of a robbery a Dollar General Store at 319 Beltline Boulevard about 7 p.m. Oct. 25 in which cash and candy bars were taken.
Sadler is also a suspect in a robbery at the Hardees restaurant on Rosewood Drive earlier that day and a third one at the Dollar General store at 2900 Leesburg Road Oct. 30. In each of those incidents, the robber went to the cashier and pretended to buy something. When the register was open, the robber pulled out a gun and took cash from the register before leaving.
The robber was wearing the same clothes in all three of the incidents.
Richland County deputies are also investigating a similar robbery at another Dollar General on 9211 Two Notch Road Oct. 30. In that incident, the robber went into the store, pretended to buy something, then pulled out a gun and demanded money.
A customer who was in the store ran out a back door when he saw the robbery, causing the alarm to sound. The robber heard the alarm and left before he could take any cash from the register.
