COLUMBIA, SC — Columbia Police are investigating a shooting at the Columbia Gardens Apartments off South Beltline Boulevard near Owens Field. While details are scarce, police spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons said a woman at a residence in the 4000 block of Plowden Road was shot and has been taken to a local hospital. Her condition is not known.

The shooting occurred around 7 p.m.. More details will be reported as they become available.
