RICHLAND COUNTY, SC — Hundreds of people attended a vigil Sunday evening to show their support for Elvia Swainson in her ongoing search to find her daughter Gabbiee, who has been missing since August, Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said.
The event, called “Night of Hope,” was at the Village at Sandhill, and included music and family entertainment, all to raise the profile of the search for the Ridge View High School student, who has been missing since Aug. 18.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department continues asking the public for information that could help them locate Gabrielle Swainson. The suspect in her disappearance, Freddie Grant, is known to have gathered pine straw in the woods. Anyone who knows places he frequented should call (803) 576-3187. An $8,500 reward is being offered.
