Emblematic of several precincts in South Carolina, Friarsgate Park suffered break downs of two of its four voting machines. A third was delivered, but high turnout and the lack of operational machines led to long lines and hours-long waits.

Even after an hour and a half wait, Sue Spillane and Jason Berry still were not inside the building at Friarsgate Park on Tuesday morning. Problems with a voting machines left the precinct with only two machines until one more was delivered. The wait for most of the early voters was more than three hours.
