COLUMBIA, SC — Another armed robbery charge has been filed against a suspect who already has been accused of a string of robberies in Columbia and Forest Acres.
Antonio Dequan Sadler, 29, was charged Monday with armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime by the Columbia Police Department.
Sadler is accused of holding up a Hardee’s on Rosewood Drive Oct. 25, the police department reported. Witnesses told police that Sadler ordered a cheeseburger and then as he acted as if he would pay for the food, then allegedly pulled a gun at the clerk and stole money from an open cash register.
Sadler is being held in the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center on 13 charges, including six charges of armed robbery and two charges of probation violation. He has five bonds that total $382,500.
Sadler also is accused of robbing a Dollar General on Beltline Boulevard, a Subway on Two Notch Road, and a Taco Bell on Decker Boulevard.
