Columbia (4-6) vs. Newberry (8-3)
Site: Bolden Stadium.
Game notes: Columbia won just four games during the regular season, but still rated a top seed and a first-round bye in Division I Newberry blasted Indian Land 41-21 last week to advance. Tysheen Nance paced the Bulldogs with 101 yards rushing and three touchdown runs on just nine carries.

Central (8-2) vs. Keenan (7-4)
Site: Central Stadium, Pageland.
Game notes: The beat went on in Pageland, despite a heavy graduation hit and the arrival of Craig Hatcher as the new head coach. The Eagles, which drew a first-round bye, expect to earn another Division II title shot in a few weeks. Last year Central fell to Bishop England in the first year of a two-division alignment in 2A. Prior to that, Central played in three straight 2A title games against Dillon, winning the programs fourth championship in 2010 Keenan opened the Division I playoffs with a 28-6 win over Eau Claire. The Raiders have made it past the second round only one time in school history in 1992 under coach Buddy Pough.
Series history: Central is 2-0 against the Raiders when the schools were region rivals (2008-09). This is the first playoff meeting of the teams.
