John K. Van Duys has been named secretary of the American College of Bond Counsel. The college was created to recognize lawyers distinguished for their skill, experience and high standards of professional and ethical conduct in the practice of bond law. Van Duys advises Haynsworth, Sinkler, Boyd clients on federal tax rules that impact the issuance of municipal bonds. He also speaks at workshops sponsored by the National Association of Bond Lawyers and the American College of Bond Counsel.
