COLUMBIA, SC — Country superstar Miranda Lambert will kick off her Locked & Reloaded Tour in January at the Colonial Life Arena.
Lambert, touring with Dierks Bentley and Lee Brice, announced the concert Friday morning. Tickets go on sale in a week, at 10 a.m. Nov. 16.
The duo of Lambert and Bentley have numerous No. 1 singles, top-selling albums and armfuls of Grammys and country music awards.
Lambert is a two-time CMA and three-time ACM Female Vocalist of the Year. Her album “Four the Record” debuted atop Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, a history-making achievement. Each of her first four albums have now met that mark, a first for the chart.
“Making music for our fans is the best job in the world,” Lambert said. “It’s especially great being able to take to that music on the road with someone I respect as an artist and human being.”
Bentley said the partnership with Lambert makes sense because the duo have a lot in common musically.
“It’s going to be a killer year,” he said.
Bentley has made a mark combining traditional country songwriting with a bluegrass sound tinged with a little rock and roll. His 2012 album “HOME” also debuted at No. 1. A string of hit singles and albums has earned him an invitation to the Grand Ole Opry.
