MIAMI (5-4) AT VIRGINIA (3-6) NOON
Thanks to UNC’s NCAA punishment, Miami controls the Coastal Division. At 4-2 in the ACC, the Hurricanes close with Virginia today and a road trip to Duke on Nov. 24. Miami self-imposed a bowl ban last year and is considering doing it again in a preemptive strike against the NCAA, which is investigating the school for the financial transgressions of booster Nevin Shapiro.
GEORGIA TECH AT UNC, 12:30 P.M.
The Yellow Jackets (4-5) have to win two of their final three games to extend their 15-year bowl streak. The Tar Heels (6-3) have had an extra week to prepare for the Jackets’ option.
WAKE FOREST AT N.C. STATE, 3 P.M.
Both teams are 5-4 and one win away from a bowl bid. The Wolfpack is coming off a 33-6 loss to Virginia while the Demon Deacons are coming off of a 28-14 win against Boston College. Tennessee scored on a reverse against N.C. State, so did UNC. So expect Wake coach Jim Grobe to dig into the playbook against the Wolfpack.
NOTRE DAME AT BOSTON COLLEGE, 8 P.M.
This game traditionally means more to the Eagles (2-7) than any on their ACC schedule. Strangely, Notre Dame, 9-0 for the first time since 1993, has been average at home but lethal on the road. Boston College is 7-4 vs. Notre Dame since 1999, including a 3-1 mark at home.
