At Eden Stadium, the Hammond Skyhawks rushed toward a seventh consecutive state championship with their second defeat of Wilson Hall this season, 27-6.
Hammond’s defense forced four turnovers while Quayshon Myers led the offense with 235 yards and four touchdowns on 32 carries.
The 12-1 Skyhawks will play for the SCISA Class 3A title on Nov. 17 at Charlie W. Johnson Stadium in Columbia.

At Irmo, junior Derek Olenchuk led the Silver Foxes into the second round of the Class 4A Division 1 playoffs with 309 yards and two touchdowns on 23-of-29 passing. Sophomore Matt Colburn notched 185 yards on 22 carries, with five touchdowns for the Silver Foxes.

At Bolden Stadium, Newberry rolled up 339 offense, including 298 on the ground, to defeat Columbia in the second round of the Class 2A, Division I state playoffs.
The Bulldogs’ Tyon Williams carried 20 times for 139 yards and a touchdown.
Newberry (9-3) travels to Central Pageland next week. Columbia finishes 4-7.
