KERSHAW COUNTY, SC — Kershaw County deputies have charged two men in connection with an armed robbery at a Lugoff Gas Station.
Robbie Lee Mauzon, 41, and Saul Edward Saylors, 31, are both charged with crimes in connection with a robbery at a Kangaroo gas station Oct. 27.
The charges comes after a witness at the gas station told investigators he saw Mauzon put on a mask before going into the store. The witness also told deputies that they saw Saylors driving the getaway car after the robbery. Mauzon faces armed robbery and kidnapping charges. Saylors will be charged with accessory after the fact to armed robbery.
Mauzon and Saylors were arrested in Aiken County following a Nov. 7 robbery at an Augusta, Ga.-area jewelry store.
After the pair were arrested, Mauzon was taken to Lexington County Detention Center on charges for a separate, unrelated charge. Saylors is being held at Aiken County Detention Center. Both of the men have detainers in Richmond County, Ga. and Kershaw County sheriff’s departments.
