Rob Weinkle is stepping down as principal of Irmo High School.
The resignation comes so he can focus on dealing with health issues, Lexington-Richland 5 spokesman Mark Bounds said Wednesday.
His resignation is effective Dec. 31, Bounds said.
Retired Lexington High principal Creig Tyler will step into the post temporarily, serving through the end of the academic year next spring, Bounds said.
Medical examiner: Capnerhurst could not have wielded a pistol.
