Standard procedure for temporary signs sought in Lexington County

Published: November 15, 2012

— Lexington County leaders will try to come up with common controls on temporary signs promoting political candidates, new neighborhoods and other activities.

The accord came at a meeting Thursday among county and municipal officials.

“It’d be great if everyone can get on the same page so there’s no confusion on what’s allowed in different areas,” County Council chairman Bill Banning of West Columbia said.

The effort is expected to take months to complete.
