COLUMBIA, SC — The Capital Senior Center will be renamed in April for the late Isadore Lourie.
The name change, announced Thursday, is timed for the 10th anniversary of Louries death.
Lourie was a state senator known as an advocate for the elderly, the agency said in a news release.
The centers mission is keeping mature adults physically fit, socially engaged, intellectually stimulated and independent. It was established in 1995.
