Lugoff man dies in Kershaw County crash

— A Lugoff man has died in a single-car crash in Kershaw County, officials say.

Henry Christopher Grady, 47, died on the scene Friday night, according to Kershaw County Coroner Johnny Fellers.

The incident occurred at 6:20 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 601 and Kennedy Road, S.C. Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins said.

Grady was travelling east on Kennedy Road when he disregarded the intersection’s stop sign, Collins said. The sport utility vehicle he was driving went through the intersection and struck several trees.

Grady was wearing a seat belt, Collins said.

The Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate.
