Richland County, SC — Richland County’s legislative delegation is responsible for the selection of personnel and determination of funding levels given to the Richland County Elections and Voter Registration Office.

In a classic political diversion, these representatives are now calling for hearings to determine what problems occurred in this past election in an effort to “never let this happen again”. Election laws and guidelines were clearly broken by this commission and in the process a billion-dollar initiative passed without Richland County’s voters getting an adequate say. Are we supposed to be satisfied with yet another empty promise and political sideshow?
