GOVERNMENT

• Federal offices will be closed Thursday.

• Fort Jackson offices will be closed Thursday. Some offices will close Friday for a training holiday.

• State government offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

• Richland County offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. Solid waste normally scheduled for pick up Thursday will be collected Friday; Friday’s route will be picked up Saturday.

• Lexington County offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

• Kershaw County offices will be closed Thursday; solid waste will be closed Thursday.

• Columbia city offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. Garbage and recyclables will be picked up Wednesday, none on Thursday.

• Forest Acres city offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

• Lexington town offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

• West Columbia city offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

• Cayce city offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. Garbage, yard and recycling will be picked up Wednesday.

• Irmo town offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

• Batesburg-Leesville offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

• Springdale town offices will be closed Thursday and Friday; no sanitation services will run.

The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles will be closed Thursday and Friday.

SERVICES/BANKS

• Post offices will be closed Thursday.

• Many banks and credit unions will be Thursday. Check with your branch to verify.

• SCE&G will be closed Thursday and Friday.

• Mid-Carolina Electric will be closed Thursday and Friday.

• Palmetto Utilities will be closed Thursday and Friday.

• Lexington’s Joint Municipal Water and Sewer Commission offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

• There will be no Central Midlands RTA bus service Thursday.

• Richland County Recreation Commission offices, recreation and community centers will be closed Thursday and Friday. LinRick golf course will be closed Thursday.

• The South Carolina Education Lottery offices and claims center will be closed Thursday and Friday.

LIBRARIES/MUSEUMS/

ZOO

• Richland County Public Library, including the main library and all branch locations, will close at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. The library will be closed Thursday.

• Lexington County Public Library System, including all branch locations, will be closed Thursday and Friday.

• Kershaw County Library will be closed Thursday and Friday.

• Columbia Museum of Art will be closed Thursday.

• The State Museum will be closed Thursday.

• The S.C. Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum will be closed Thursday-Sunday.

The S.C. Military Museum on National Guard Road will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Historic Columbia Foundation houses will be closed Thursday.

• EdVenture will be closed Thursday.

• Riverbanks Zoo and Garden Lights Before Christmas will be closed Thursday.

THE STATE

• The State newspaper’s advertising, business and circulation departments will be closed Thursday. In the event of a delivery problem, customer representatives are available 6-9:30 a.m. at (800) 888-3566.
