The winner of this weekends USC-Clemson game is yet to be determined, but the winner of the 28th annual Carolina-Clemson Blood Drive has emerged.
The University of South Carolina won the drive, held annually the week before the USC-Clemson football game.
This years event was a close competition, with 7,189 donors 3,655 donating blood for USC, 3,534 for Clemson.
Carolinas victory this year brings the current standings to a tie, with each school having 14 blood drive wins. USC will be presented the blood drive trophy during Saturdays game at Clemson Memorial Stadium.
Eligible donors can still show their Gamecock or Tiger spirit and receive a commemorative Carolina-Clemson Blood Drive T-shirt by giving blood now through Sunday at the American Red Cross Donation Center, 2751 Bull St., Columbia, or several other Midlands area locations.
