Visitors to downtown Columbia’s new outdoor skating rink can skate for free Thanksgiving Day.
That’s the day Main Street Ice officially opens, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The new rink at Main and Hampton streets was created through a partnership between the city of Columbia and Magic Ice U.S.A. The rink will be open seven days a week, except Christmas Day, through Jan. 6.
Thursday’s free admission includes skate rentals.
