Rembert, S.C. 01-15-08. C. Aluka Berry - The State/caberry@thestate.com Wateree Correctional Institution inmate and Thoroughbred Retirement FoundationÕs groom elite certification program trainee Joshua Reynolds, 26, bonds with his favorite horse, Little Me Too, after a grooming session. The TRF program, which started in June 2005 at the Wateree Correctional Institution on the Kershaw County and Sumter County line, gives horses --- and the prisoners who learn to care for them -- a second chance at life. Upon release Reynolds will have served more than a year at the medium-security prison for second-degree burglary. Since heÕs been in prison, heÕs reconciled with his wife and two children, and he says heÕs learned from his mistakes. While he wants to eventually have a career working with horses, he plans to go to Midlands Tech and get his electrician certification and try to get a job as an electricianÕs assistant, his job before his incarceration.
