Black Friday
Forget football after Thanksgiving dinner: Go shopping instead.
Stores continue to scramble to get your holiday dollars first by kicking off the biggest shopping season of the year earlier than before.
Thursday night, among some of the big box retailers, Walmart, Sears and Toys R Us are opening at 8 p.m., with Target following at 9 p.m. and H.H. Gregg at 10 p.m. At midnight, Macys, Best Buy, Kohls and Belk open.
Most malls are opening early on Black Friday and nearly all have some stores opening as early as midnight. Check mall websites for details. Check out store sales in todays newspaper.
Mall hours for Black Friday:
Columbiana Centre, 100 Columbiana Circle: 6 a.m.-10 p.m., with 50-plus stores opening at midnight.
Columbia Place, 7201 Two Notch Road: 6 a.m.-10 p.m., with nearly 20 stores opening at midnight
Dutch Square, 421 Bush River Road: 7 a.m.-9 p.m.
Richland Mall, 3400 Forest Drive: 7 a.m.-9 p.m.
Village at Sandhill, Clemson and Two Notch roads: 8 a.m.-9 p.m., with nearly 30 stores opening at midnight and the hours soon after.
