Richland County to take electronic household waste

November 25, 2012

Southeast Richland residents can recycle unwanted electronic junk during a Dec. 1 collection.

The dropoff runs from 9 a.m. to noon, at Zion Mill Creek Baptist, 97 Mill Creek Parkway.

Residents can discard tires, computers, TVs, household electronics, microwave ovens and scrap metal. They also can bring documents for shredding and exchange old household lightbulbs for energy-efficient compact fluorescent bulbs; limit eight per person.

The event is open to all county residents. For more information, call (803) 576-2446.
