Richland County authorities released photos of a man suspected of stealing $130 in lottery tickets Nov. 14 from a Lower Richland convenience store.

A clerk at the Corner Pantry, 7850 Garners Ferry Road, told deputies the suspect reached across the counter, grabbed the scratch-off lottery tickets and fled when her head was turned. Video cameras captured the man entering and leaving the store.

The tickets are worthless, Richand County Sheriff’s Department Curtis Wilson said. While they cannot be redeemed, someone may purchase them, thinking they have bought legitimate lottery tickets.
