The U.S. Marshals are looking for a man who skipped a his criminal trial in Orangeburg County earlier this month.
The marshals are looking for Joseph Williams Dinkins, who was convicted on an aggravated criminal domestic violence charge Nov. 7 after he poured gasoline on a woman and tried to set her on fire May 21. The 27-year-old never showed for his court date and was found guilty in absentia.
This isn’t the first time Dinkins has been on the run, according to the U.S. Marshals. The force captured Dinkins June 1 after being asked in late May to track him down to serve a warrant for the domestic violence charge. Dinkins was later released from jail on bond.
Dinkins is described as being 6 feet tall and weighing 155 pounds. His last known address was on Valerie Drive in Orangeburg.
