COLUMBIA, SC — Six people were transported to the hospital after a wreck near the South Carolina State House Friday afternoon.

A Chevrolet Cobalt overturned after it ran a red light at Gervais and Sumter streets and hit a CMRTA bus, a spokeswoman with the Columbia Police Department said. While it was flipping, the Cobalt hit a second car.

All six people transported to the hospital were responsive, the spokeswoman said.

The Cobalt's drive is expected to be charged with running a red light.
