The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is searching for two men who stole beer from a convenience store and then fought with the clerk who tried to stop them.

The first suspect took a case of Budweiser and a case of Bud Light from the cooler in an El Cheapo at 1013 Percival Road just before 11 p.m. on Oct. 30, the sheriff’s department reported. He walked out the door with the beer and the store clerk followed him.

The suspect fought with the clerk and then a second man came to join the thief in the fight, the report said.

The beer bottles were busted during the altercation.
