WEST COLUMBIA, SC — Lexington County deputies are looking for a man who robbed a convenience store outside of West Columbia Tuesday.
The man came into the store and asked to go to the restroom at the Kangaroo Express in the 3900 block of Augusta Road, according to a Lexington County Sheriff’s Department incident report. When the clerk said the store didn’t have one open to the public, the man came around the register and said he wanted all the money in the register and held a blunt object to her back.
The man took all the cash out of the register, told the clerk to lay on the ground and said he would hurt her if she moved. After the robbery, he left the store.
The suspect was captured on surveillance footage. If you recognize the man or know anything about the robbery, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC or www.sccrimestoppers.com
