Thursday: Slack pols don’t deserve pay

Published: December 6, 2012

Is it any wonder business cannot get done when our esteemed representatives in the U.S. Congress only work 126 days? It is now apparent how the name “do-nothing Congress” came to be. The schedule posted by Majority Whip Eric Cantor recently calls for the House to have 126 work days and 239 days away from the office in 2013. We pay for this.

My recommendation is to withhold all salaries, benefits and perks until we receive value from these inept elected officials. Any employer would demand that.

It is an insult to the people who voted these slackers into office. No work, no pay.
