Friday: Boehner wants to be president

Published: December 7, 2012

U.S. House Speaker John Boehner is spreading fear throughout our country with his “fiscal cliff” prognostication apparently in preparation for a run for the presidency in 2016. No doubt his slogan will be, “I told you so.” If he gets that far.

No matter who is in the White House we will have fiscal problems and the federal debt will increase, which we will learn to live with.

Speaker Boehner thinks that by setting up roadblocks, which the president will surely bypass, it will put him in the cat-bird seat.

This may be only the first step in Mr. Boehner’s attempt to conquer the presidency.

Actually, Congress should be blamed for most of the problems our country has. They created the loopholes in the tax codes that are favorable to themselves and their cohorts. They lack the fiscal responsibility to run this country and have no inkling as to how they can repay our country’s debt, and now Speaker Boehner wants to be their leader.

Where does that leave us, but holding the bag?
