Lexington County, SC — Everyone who voted for President Obama and is against the electricity rate increase requested by SCE&G (especially the AARP) should please remember this quote from the president: “Under my plan of a cap-and-trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. … Coal-powered plants, you know, natural gas, you name it, whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers.”

Obama’s agenda has made coal generation almost prohibitively expensive, so to fulfill the obligation to ensure the service area has sufficient power, nuclear generation must be built, which isn’t cheap.

Quit your griping, folks; you wanted him, and now you got him, and you also have his programs and his agenda. You have no one to blame but yourselves.
