An 8 inch water main break has prompted Columbia water officials to issue a boil water advisory for some residents of the Crescent Lake subdivision off Longtown Road W. in Blyethwood.

Residents living on Winding Wood Circle, Winding Wood Court, Lakemor Court, and Crescent Park Court should boil water for at least 60 seconds before drinking, or using it to make ice or in cooking. Anyone leaving near the affected area who has lost water pressure or noticed a drop in water pressure should follow the same recommendation Columbia Water Works said in a release.
