Each year the business develops a theme for the holiday celebration. For the event businesses along Devine Street celebrated the holiday season by opening their doors and offering food and spirits.

Night on Devine

Shop in the midst of a festive atmosphere as more than 50 stores and restaurants will participate in “A Devine Night Out” from 5-8 p.m. Walk the mile-long strip, catch a ride on the free limo service or take a pedicab. There will be live entertainment and, of course, shopping discounts and deals. From 8-10 p.m., there will be an after party at Burger Tavern 77. Two ‘Nutcrackers’

Columbia City Jazz Dance Company will present its distinct and jazzed-up take on “The Nutcracker,” “The Two Claras,” Friday and Saturday at Drayton Hall Theatre. The Columbia City Ballet’s production of “The Nutcracker” will feature a cast of 130 dancers, new costumes and special effects at the Koger Center. An added bonus is the Nutcracker Tea the company hosts in the Koger Center’s ballroom. Clara, the Nutcracker Prince and others will attend the event to be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Winter is here

“Winter Fest,” the program at the South Carolina State Museum that provides winterized family entertainment, will open. The program, which runs through Jan. 1, includes a Family Fiesta (at 2 p.m. Saturday), “Polar Express” Night (Dec. 21) and holiday crafting (daily).
