RICHLAND COUNTY, SC — A northeast Richland County duplex was destroyed in a fire Thursday morning.
None of the Brookfield Road building's three residents were displaced in the fire, according to Columbia-Richland Fire Department spokesman Brick Lewis. But the building sustained about $170,000 in damages.
A nearby structure also sustained about $2,000 in heat damage, Lewis said.
The duplex's 3 residents have been displaced and are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.
