LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC — A man who died over the weekend in a Lexington County traffic incident was identified Sunday as Steven A. Wise, 35, of Columbia.

Lexington County Coroner Harry Harman said Sunday in a news release that Wise was ejected from his vehicle in his single-car crash about 6 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Beechwoods Drive.

Wise was taken to Lexington Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead from head and body trauma.

The crash happened when Wise was rounding a curve and he lost control of his 1996 Ford Thunderbird, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol. Wise was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the patrol.
