One arrested, two sought in Kershaw County robbery

Published: December 17, 2012

— One person has been arrested and two others are being sought in connection with a Kershaw County armed robbery last month, the Sheriff’s Office announced Monday.

Tanner Reece Brittain, 19, was arrested Wednesday, and arrest warrants have been issued for Nathaniel Walter Brown, 22, and Vance Lamar Fowler, 18, according to a news release.

Sheriff Jim Matthews allege Brittain contacted the victim to ask if he wanted to purchase an X-box and TV. The two met, at which point the two other suspects jumped out of the woods and beat the victim and threatened to shoot him, reports said. The suspects fled with $215.

Brittan is being held in the Kershaw County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond. Anyone with information about the other two suspects should call the Sheriff’s Office at (803) 425-1512.
