— A two-day undercover operation has netted seven arrests on prostitution and drug charges, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department announced Monday.

The department’s narcotics unit conducted the operation Thursday and Friday, arresting customers of Backpage.com, an online service, according to a news release. An undercover agent with the department took phone calls and set up appointments for services, reports said, and when suspects showed up and requested sex in exchange for money, they were arrested.

Among those charged with solicitation of prostitution were Ellison Hudson, 24; Robert Law, 28; Marques Wilson, 35; Wendell Irby, 56; Isaiah Regin, 21; and Quention Govan, 36.

Brandon Clea-Evans, 26, was charged with simple possession of marijuana and driving under suspension.
