Wednesday: Richland County has many flaws

Published: December 19, 2012

— Shazam! Steve Hamm’s preliminary report on the Richland County election was truly earth shattering. The report, at taxpayers’ expense, revealed what we knew before it was given — nothing. It was delivered in a neat, sanitary package that could easily be swept under the carpet of “we fooled ’em again.”

Sen. Darrell Jackson installed himself as “Maximus Jackson the First” in order to keep his foot on the carpet. By doing this the dirt stays where he and others of like mind prefer, out of sight. Meanwhile Lillian McBride, county director of elections and voter registration, and her minions remain on the job at concerned taxpayers’ expense. The election mess is only one of many problems in Richland County caused by gross incompetence.

Unfortunately the property located on Bull Street, formerly used to house the insane, is close to being disposed of. This would be the ideal location to house Richland County government. A true case of inmates running the asylum.

The most frightening thing, is that the uninformed voter and those looking for a handout passed a $1 billion tax increase for the lunatics running county government to administer. God help us, or maybe more appropriately in this situation, as Forrest Gump said “stupid is as stupid does.”
