I’m thankful for the health-care system we have in our country. Recently, I went to Doctor’s Care with a cold. Not long after, I went again and was diagnosed with pneumonia. Without insurance and Medicare it would be very difficult for me to pay for two chest X-rays and all the other medical treatment I was given.

In this beautiful season I’m especially thankful for Christ’s birth, for neighbors who bring me food and walk my dog. But I’m also thankful for a health-care system which, although imperfect, meets my needs.
